It's been going on for years but it's never too late to step up awareness on IPv6.   The following is on Google's IPv6 deployment.

Contiki is an open source embedded operating system for memory constrained networked systems and best of all it is now IPv6 Ready. Basically, it is very memory efficient and has a low footprint, around 2kb and 11kb respectively. More details of the OS can be found here.
